Growing up with a love of all things artistic including painting, sculpture, photography and drawing, it was a natural progression for Katriina into makeup and special effects. The idea of becoming a makeup artist blossomed with the realisation that the best part of watching a movie was watching the 'behind the scenes' section... but it wasn't till 1999 that the reality of becoming a makeup artist actually hit.
Blondie Makeup Artistry started in 2000 when she formally trained for two years, full time, at the Arts and Technology of Makeup College (3 Arts Makeup College) in Chippenedale, Sydney, under the watchful eye of Scott Lattimer (now owner of Acmuse in Broadway, Sydney) proudly leaving with a diploma and love of makeup artistry that will live on forever.
